This Sovtek 6SN7 tube is a small pre-amp dual triode, medium gain with an octal base. It is used as original equipment in many currently produced home audio tube amplifiers.
The Sovtek 6SN7GT offers a huge increase in dynamics vs. RCA 5692. Vocals acquire a new urgency and conviction where the 5692 sounds a bit sleepy. Downside: somewhat hissier.
